Kylie Fitzpatrick

Kylie has been a professional editor for twenty years and a literary consultant for Cornerstones and Writers & Artists (Bloomsbury). She is the author of four novels published in eleven languages. Kylie has worked in script development for the BBC, Australian Broadcasting Commission and Beyond Productions, and has lived and worked in Europe, the US, Australia and the UK. She has a Masters and Doctoral degrees in Creative Writing and, until 2018, was a tutor and lecturer on the world-leading Creative Writing Degree and MA courses at Bath Spa University.
Barbara Mellor

Barbara’s career in publishing spans over forty years, starting as a senior editor at Weidenfeld & Nicolson. As a freelance editor and literary translator based in Scotland and France, she works with publishers, authors and public institutions in Europe, the US and the UK. Her work has been nominated for a number of prestigious awards, and her critically acclaimed translation of Agnès Humbert’s Résistance: Memoirs of Occupied France (Bloomsbury) was an international bestseller published in fifteen editions. A member of the Royal Historical Society and the Society of Authors, she has given many talks and interviews in the print media, on BBC Radio 4 and at literary festivals.
Jack Ryan-Phillips

Jack joined Archetype Design fresh from achieving a first class honours in Digital Media. His talents as a designer, married with his ease in the digital world, has made him invaluable to the consultancy. He is a founding director of Archetype Books and brings a deep understanding of social media that is crucial for authors to be able to find their audiences.
Michael Phillips

Michael is the founding director of Archetype Design, a graphics consultancy based for forty years in London, then in Oxford. A passion for environmental issues and social equity has led Archetype to work for many national and international charities, NGOs and SMEs. A compelling love for both art and books led naturally to designing books for packagers and publishers. This experience has morphed into the setting up of Archetype Books.
